This Autumn is shaping up to be an exciting time for me with two new books out in October, hard on the heels of my fifth wedding anniversary on September 14th.
The missus, Amanda Barrie, and I both have wonderfully happy memories of our wedding at the Drury Lane Theatre on a gloriously sunny September day.
In stark contrast, my new paperback, Deadly Dance, is probably the only book I have ever written which scared the living daylights out of me whilst I was writing it. Indeed I often had to walk away and take a break in the fresh air, away from the darkness of it.
The second of my two new publications, Dreams of Fear, is my twentieth book, and my fifteenth novel. More on that later.
All in all, I seem to have travelled a long way from my schooldays when I confessed haltingly to my English teacher that I wanted to be a writer and a journalist. She told me I had just the one advantage – I was tall, and I’d be able to see over other people’s heads.
Actually she was quite right. In the world of journalism anyway.
None the less, eat your heart out Miss Edwards.
