I can’t believe that it’s over a year now since we completed the national tour of my first play, Dead Lies.
It was a roller coaster ride, we played some of the very best theatres in the country, and I wouldn’t have missed a minute of it. Such a thrill to see my work on stage.
But now, for the moment, it’s back to the day job. Wrote my eighteenth crime novel, The Deadliest Legacy, through this last winter, and it will be published next month. I’m looking forward to receiving hard-back copies soon. That is always a thrill too.
This month I chalked up yet another birthday - I do not feel it necessary to highlight which one - and the producer of Dead Lies, the brave and bold Matt Brinkler, took me to dinner at The Ivy Club to celebrate. Or was it to mourn? Hard to tell nowadays…
